Are you crazy about bags and want one that is unique and special? Than why don’t you make one yourself…with a sewing machine! Or are you pregnant or a new mum? Or having kids going to school already? Then you could make al sorts of toys, stuffed animals and clothes with a sewing machine! Do you not know how to and don’t know what it’s capable of? And you want to see if sewing is something you like? Then the Beginners course Basics is what you need! You will learn the basics of sewing in 8 weeks. And at the end of the course you will go home with your first bag or toy, handmade by you!
Step by Step During the Beginners course Basics you will learn the basic sewing techniques such as using a sewing machine and threading it, choosing a pattern from magazines or books and how to transport it on fabric. You also learn to work on your sewing project in a logical series of steps to make sure that the end result is beautiful. You will start using the sewing machine in lesson one! During the course you will make some small projects that you can bring home. And, at the end of the course you will work on your own first handbag or toy, handmade by you! During this course you will learn many techniques that you can also apply when you are working behind your sewing machine to make other things like a nice clothes or home decoration. Even making your trousers a bit shorter will be a piece of cake. Finished the Beginners course Basics and can’t stop sewing? Then you can continue learning in the ongoing sewing lessons, where you can do a follow up sewing program with more advanced projects or you can work more independently on you projects and learn even more techniques. What to bring? LieWennies – Handmade by you! wants to show you the fun of sewing all kinds of things yourself! So, during the Beginners course Basics you don’t have to bring anything and you can use the sewing machines, tools and materials present in the studio. You don’t need a sewing machine of your own yet, but of course you can bring yours if you want. What are the costs? The Beginners course Basics of 8 lessons costs € 19,- per lesson (incl VAT). Use of sewing machines, patterns and tools as well as coffee and tea are included. Also, the tutorials, fabric and other materials (thread, ribbons, buttons) are included in a Materials set with a total value € 25,-. Total payments before the first sewing course lesson. When can I join? The Beginners course Basics will start at different moments in a year. Just apply for the next course and have a look at the calendar for the next starting date. Great! See you soon?
